Who are "Wassenbergh"
The society "Wassenbergh" was founded in January 2016 by Jolijn and Marc Geerdink-Schaftenaar.
Together, they have almost 40 years of experience with re-enactment and living history. They make reproductions of clothing, write articles, give historical demonstrations and advise, but mostly enjoy a fantastic hobby together.

Members of our society portray soldiers (musicians) and civilians from several periods in history. This way, history comes alive, for us, but also for the public.
The founding of "Wassenbergh" is 235 years after the death of the Dutch artist Elisabeth Geertruida Wassenbergh. Elisabeth Wassenbergh was a Dutch artist whose work inspired our historical portrayals.
